Step 1: Switch to Test Builder mode.

• Select the File menu, then Switch to Test Builder.

We will use the QuickTest Wizard, so

• Click on OK.

A new dialog box will open.

• Type the name of the test: Quiz on Percentages.
• Click on Next.

 

Step 2: Choose the question bank.

Find the question bank (recall that the listing is by bank title, not by file name).

• Click on the name and then click on Select (or just double-click on the name).

The bank will move to the lower field.

 

Step 3: Select the questions

• Click on Select All and then click on Next.

 

• Click on Finish.

On the first page we have the quiz

and on the second page we have the Answer Section. (Scroll down using your mouse scroll button or by pressing [Page Down].)

Step 4: Change the test layout.

Suppose we want to leave room between the questions for the student's work.

• Select the Test menu, then Layout.

Extra space between questions,

• click on  six times to increase spacing to 36 pt.
• Then, click on OK.

 

There are now three blank lines between each question.

Step 5: Save your test (this action is analogous to that of Part C, Step 6)

• Save your test file, by pressing [Ctrl]+[S] or select the File menu, then Save.

A Save dialog box will open with the following at the bottom:

Do not click anywhere! Just start typing the File name: Quiz on Percentages

The File name should appear where “untitled.tst” was (see below).

 

• Click on Save (or hit [Enter])
• The File name should now appear in the title bar (see below).
